Dann and Don with WW II POW Al Johnson at the Redding Cal Vet Veterans Home where they presented a video presentation of the Museum for the Veterans who are the home.  Al was shot down over Germany in a B-24 bomber and the Museum has some of his things on display.

Retired USAF Captain Terry Thomas with is flight helmet bag and flight suit.  He did 2 tours in the Viet Nam War at Takhli, Thailand AFB  (66-67) with the 355th TFW and at Korat, Thailand  AFB (68-69) with the 554th Recon Sqn.  He came back to Beale AFB until he retired

Debra Givens parents both served in the US Navy during the Korean War.  Debra is holding photos and uniforms they wore.

William Brown (USN - Retired) with is photo.  He served in the Korean War off the Coast on a battleship.  During the Viet Nam War he went to Da Nang,  Viet Nam with the Seabees.

Major Dale Welch (USAF - Ret) brought in his uniform from his service in the 1960's.  He was a pilot and was awarded 2 Distinguished Flying Crosses during his service.

Mr. Huggins brought in and signed a photo of his Father,  Mason Huggins taken in 1918 when he served with the AEF (Army) during World War I.

SSgt (USMC) Ret Randy Busk with a 120cm heat shell base they shot in their M1-A1 Abrams tank.  He signed the shell when he brought it in for the Museum.

The Harris Family (Wife, Brother and extended family) visit to the Museum for an interview with the Appeal Democrat Newspaper and to view the display about  Lt Harris (Pilot) who was killed in Italy in 1944 when his P-38 plane went down.  Lt.  Harris's leather flight helmet was returned to his brother Larry in Yuba City after 70 years by the Italian farmer in Italy where he has crashed.  It was an emotional day to have both his Widow and Brother with all the other family to view the display.

Gene Terminel brought in George Nakamura's World War II Army Air Corps uniform.  Mr. Nakamura (Japanese decent) was interred at Tule Lake Relocation Camp in the first part of the War, then volunteered for the Air Corps.  He served as a Radio Tech. and came back to Marysville, CA (Same town Museum is located in),   After the War ended,  he was honorably discharged for his service..  He is a native of Marysville, graduated from both grammar school and Marysville High School.  His family owned a local grocery store here.

Larry Harris with photo and flight helmet from his brother Lt. Everett Harris who was killed in Italy in Nov 1944 while flying a P-38.  He crashed in a farmers field where he was buried by Italian farmers who took his flight helmet and put in their basement.  Last year the farmers son found it and traced it to Everett's brother in Yuba City, CA. who called us and donated it and photos to the Museum.  Amazing story of finding the helmet 70+ years later and returning it to family.  We are proud to display this story in Memory to Lt. Harris.

First Sgt. Don Brister brought in and signed his DCU shirt he wore in Iraq during OIF II between 2004 - 2005 while with the C.O.L.T. Platoon of the 1/8th of the 1st Cavalry Division in the AO of Al Rashid, Iraq

Rick Paskowitz brought in photos and signed them of he and his wife June that were taken of them when they both were serving as Officers in the US Navy.

Gunny Dave Henry with SKS rifle he captured in Vietnam. Photo take just before he gave the SKS to his son as a heirloom.  Gunny has many other displays from his USMC service/Vietnam in the Museum.

Ernie Hunley (USMC - Vietnam) Brought in a world II Chaplains' case and poster that was used in Europe by and Army Chaplin.

Martha Neyman donated a USS VALLEY FORGE (CV-45) cruise book, shadow box of medals with ID card, and burial flag in Memory of her husband, Warner who served in the Navy during the Korean War and the A Bomb testing at Bikini Atoll.  He Retired from the Navy after 22 years of service
