We really enjoyed our visit to your museum today. With some luck I might have a few more items to contribute in the future. I certainly appreciate what you have done to keep the memory alive. As a Viet Vet I appreciate the fact some people are proud and supporting of what we did. In addition the WWII vets are going to meet the supreme commander way too fast, and not to forget the "Forgotten War" (Korea). Until the next time keep the great work and keep smiling. Harlan

I was reading about joe langdell, and you said that he died, but he is still alive. Joe is my cousin and I just saw him at a family member's funeral, so unless he was a ghost, he is still very much alive.

Webmaster note: Thank you for the information. It was an error on the website, and it has been corrected, please accept our apologies.

I am the proud daughter of a Ret CW4 vet from both the Veitnam war and Desert Sheild/Desert Storm living in Florida. This was my first visit to your site. I am sitting here with tears in my eyes and so very humbled by what you have done for the "Unforgotten Warriors" who have served this country and still do. My hats off to you. My Heart to them. Thank you, Dann. If I ever make it your way, I'm coming to visit.

Just wanted to say "thank you" to all those who sacrifice so much to keep our country and our way of life safe and secure. Freedom is not really free - it comes at a high price. Today is December 7th and I wanted you to know that we will never forget. All of your sacrifices are greatly appreciated. Helen Trefflich

I guess, with the change-of-command, the squadron won't be with you in '08. That's too bad, as it was a great gig for both the officers and cadets. You and yours have a Happy Holidays season!

Brother Dann and Sister Roberta, Ventura, Nov 2007) Just a handful know of the one car garage where we stored sheetrock back in 1977 while a remodel to your house was done. That "little" garage was the first structure called the "Museum of the Forgotten Warriors" Although 7 hours away in Ventura, I feel blessed to be included not only as a veteran but as part of the family that has watched your magnificant vison become a reality. I am moved by the descriptions you share with me of the impact this has made on Veteran's of all branches of the service, under fire or cold war. You know which is my favorite display- it is in the original part of the building. US Naval Sea Cadets- AIRPAC Sqdn from Santa Barbara were disapointed we were unable to return for the ground breaking for the new wing. We were moved again to be part of the Memorial Day celebration that included the cadets doing the Color Guard and others forming up as the honor guard. This is an exciting time in the history of the Museum. You know I will watch as will all members of AIRPAC Squadron to see this latest vision develop. God Bless to you both, and to Vern and the guys who are so dearly dedicated to you on this and all future missions. You are truly the most unknown part of our nation's military history and can count on me to keep spreading the word. Dann...the website's only competition is the Museum itself! It has grown and will continue because of what you started. Thank you for having the vision, dedication, the time, the effort, and the financial resourses you have donated. Now it is our time to donate some of our money to get the new building constructed. I challenge other supporters to donate $100 to such a worthy cause. Thanks again Dann for all you have given. (U.S. Army, C Troop 3rd Squadron 17th Armored Air Cavalry, 1967-1968 Vietnam)

Today, November 11th, 2007 I wore my uniform to our Sunday church service in recognition of Veterans Day. Over the years this has been a tradition at our church, and when it first started, quite a few veterans would wear their uniform or at least part of their uniform on Veterans Day. Over the years fewer and fewer vets wore their uniform, but I always wore mine even though sizing of the uniform required adjustments over the years. Within the past year our pastor was replaced by a younger pastor. About two months ago I advised our new pastor that a tradition at our church has been to recognize our veterans on Veterans Day each year. I was assured several times that our veterans would be remembered this Veterans Day (today). Supposedly there was to be a video tribute to veterans, but for some reason the video would not play. There was no explanation and no verbal recognitiion of the fact it was Veterans Day. After the service the Pastor apologized to me for forgetting to recognize the veterans in our congregation. He explained that the video did not work and with his concentration on the order of service and the message he was going to give, he simply forgot to even verbally recognize Veterans Day. He apologized to me. My comment to him was that I hoped no one in the congregation took offense to his forgetfulness. Several people came up to me (since I was in my class A uniform) and thanked me for my service and also to indicate that they were displeased with the Pastors forgetfulness. People do forget, and that is why we have a day to be remembered. Sad but true. The truly positive thing that happened today, though, was that one of the congregation came up to me and asked me if I had ever heard of the Museum of Forgotten Warriors. I told him no, but based on his description, I know that I have to visit at my first opportunity. As soon as I got home, I checked out your web site on my computer. Pastors may forget us, but thanks to people like you, veterans will never be forgotten. Thanks for what you have done for all of us. I can't wait to visit............................................Charlie Fass, 1Lt, USAR, Vietnam veteran
