LDS Missionary group visit to the Museum

Viet Nam Veterans from Troop C, 3rd Squadron, 4th Cavalry, 3rd Brigade Task Force of the 25th Infantry  Division who fought in the Pleiku, Viet Nam AO from 1965 - 1966.  They get together every 2 years for a reunion at different locations.

Ironworkers M.C. Chapter 118 (Roseville, CA) made a motorcycle run to visit the Museum.  They are an awesome group !!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Ladies tennis group from the Yuba City Racquet Club visited the Museum for a group tour.

 

CHICO A's Model A car club visit on 18 March 2017

 

Group visit on Museum Day by the DAR members (Daughters of the American Revolution) from the Grass Valley Chapter.

 

 

 

The Sons in Retirement, Peach Tree Branch #45 visited the Museum , then had a BBQ after the tours of the Museum were completed.
 

 

This was a visit by "The Club at WestPark" Veterans Group.

 

Group visit from the Yuba College Special Education students and staff.

 

James Thao, Kevin Thao, Captain Frank Nelson and John Thao visited the Museum and talked about the "Secret War" in Laos where Cpt, Nelson flew in support of the Hmong's during the Viet Nam War.

 

We very much enjoyed our trip to the museum.  Here are a few pictures of us having lunch and in our cars.  I'm sure we will be back again.

Motorcycle run,  (group visit) to the Museum to honor our Veterans and support the Museum and the YS Stand Down.

 

The management team from the Northern California Target Corporation visited the Museum.

 

Birthday party for Nolan Gobel held at the Museum.  The boys and their parents had a BBQ, watched a World War I movie and had "scavenger hunt" of items in the Museum display cases that they had to find and identify with the photos / list the were given.  Our Museum docents helped both the boys and the parents find the listed items as well as relating their personnel stories to the Boys.  It was a great Day !!!!!!!

 

OSS Visit on CAF Day

 

The group of Airman who visited the Museum were from the 13th Intelligence Sqn,  (N.E.T.) from Beale Air Force Base.

 

American Legion Post 383 Riders from Fair Oaks, CA. had a bike run to visit the Museum.

The Marysville Kiwanis Club visited the Museum for their group meeting with lunch catered by the Court House Café

Viet Nam Veterans from the 1/7th Air Cavalry Squadron (BLACKHAWKS) visited the Museum on August 28, 2015 as part of their reunion in Sacramento.  They chartered 2 buses to come visit the Museum.
There were many stories told during the visit as they viewed the Museums displays.  Capt. Fred Young who flew loaches in Nam set up the visit.  They wanted their photo taken in front of the Huey.  Photo was taken from the top of one of the buses.

SMSgt. Hepner's family visited the Museum after Col. Sherwood flew from the East Coast to speak at SMSgt Hepner's ceremony Aug 21.  Both are in the group photo and have maintained a close bond through their careers.

Docents Austin, Don, and Richard split the 30 students and parents into groups for Museum tours. 

 

These photos are of US Army recruits before leaving for basic training. 

They were brought out to the Museum by the local Army Recruiters to view the history that they will now become a part of as members of the US Army.
